Panauti Community Homestay is a community-based tourism initiative dedicated to preserving the rich cultural heritage of Panauti while creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for local women. Established over 14 years ago, the project began with a vision of empowering women through responsible tourism and has grown into a successful model of community-led hospitality.
Our homestay offers visitors an authentic Newar cultural experience, where guests are welcomed into local family homes, enjoy traditional homemade cuisine, explore centuries-old heritage, and connect with the daily life and traditions of the community. Every stay directly supports local families and contributes to the preservation of Panauti's unique culture and identity.
Beyond providing accommodation, Panauti Community Homestay is committed to women's empowerment by creating opportunities for financial independence, leadership, and entrepreneurship. Through tourism, local women have become confident hosts, cultural ambassadors, and key contributors to the economic and social development of their community.
